    Beocom 5 Software Update on June 2nd 2010

    Today I got a call by my local dealer that a software update for my BeoCom 5 is available.

    I took my mobile unit and the baseline 2 to my dealer. He updated both units successfully.

    At home: Oops, no base found. But I only had to disconnect the base (power) and to replug and than the base was found. The phonebook was reinstalled too.

    Symptom 
         
      1.
    Phone reboots during a call, bad distortion noticed on line.
      2.
    Call list changes by itself. The calls list is corrupted and not synchronized with the other handsets.
      3.
    No audio in handset speaker and from the microphone, speaker phone works fine.
      4.
    Handset speaker audio level barely audible, speaker phone works fine.
      5.
    The mic mute function is not working.
      6.
    Caller ID on call waiting calls is not displayed.
      7.
    When answering an incoming call, the BeoCom 5 dials out the last 4 digits of the received caller ID number.
      8.
    Intermittently, you do not get the “line busy” notification when breaking into an existing conversation.
      9.
    Cannot pick up incoming call – handset says “line busy” without being busy.
      10.
    Line busy when trying to make a fast redial.
      11.
    Dutch spelling errors.
      12.
    BeoCom 5 set to Swedish language uses Æ instead of Ä in menu.
      13.
    US phone numbers are not formatted correctly.
      14.
    German spelling errors.
      15.
    Speaker phone cuts out completely during call.
      16.
    Display backlight is not "turned on" when a call waiting call is received.
      17.
    Static noise on the line at first day of start-up.
      18.
    Number type displayed even after deleting the number from the phonebook.
      19.
    Not all digits could be heard when dialling a number from the speaker phone.
      20.
    The BeoLine 2 base station PARK number could sometimes be reset to default after a "Reset base" from the service menu.
      21.
    The user settings could sometimes be reset to default after a "Reset handset" from the service menu.
      22.
    Setting MIC OFF does not always work.
      23.
    Click sound heard when you go off hook on line 2.
    Solution
    Software update:
    BeoCom 5 to version 1.90.
    BeoLine 2 to version 1.78.

    My dealer told me that there are a few problems still not being solved.

    They are still working on it.Sad
