Beogram 8002 & 240 volts?? can it be used in Europe

I have a new [to me] 8002 Beogram turntable and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it can be used outside of North America.  I also have the original operating guide and it says that it has a 120 volt power supply - can it be used with a converter?

It was my late fathers and he had it for a long time.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

The straight answer is no. However the transformer unit is able to be changed but you will need a donor unit. The other alternative is a voltage transformer but it will also have to be 60Hz. Much simpler to get a new one I am afraid.
