Best way to use Beosound 3000 as part of a home cinema set up?

    Hi

I have the following set up

    Sony 46" LCD TV

    SKY+ HD

    Beosound 3000

    Beolab 6000 (Front)

    Beolab 8000 (Rear)

I currently have the Beosound 3000 plugged directly into the back of the TV using a 5 pin din > RCA cable.

Is this the best was of incorporating the Beosound 3000 into a home cinema set up or is there another way that would produce superior sound quality?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

    Regards

    Hi there,

    Welcome to Beoworld. Smile

IMHO start with swapping your speakers. I would move 8000's as fronts!!!!

for a home cinema system I miss the DSP module.

The BS3000 just gets a Stereo Signal from your TV and sends this Stereo to your speakers. But there is no surround module.

    BeoVision 8-40 / BeoVision 8-32 / Beovision 6-26 / BeoSound 3200 / BeoSound 1 / BeoLab 3 /  Beolab 6000 / Beolab 2000 / Beoport / Beomedia 1 / 3* Beo4 /BeoCom 5 with VOIP

    Thanks for the reply....

So is there a way of introducing surround sound while still using the BS3000? Or would I need to buy a new home cinema system?

How about using a Beosystem 3. Designed for just this purpose.

You need to connect your Beosound 3000 via masterlink to something with a surround module, like a BS1/2/3.
