    XtremeMAC HDMI expander to BV10

Anyone that have used the "XtremeMac XtremeHD HDMI Switcher" to a BV10?

Gefen HDMI expander is quite expensive.... so I  thought of searching for alternatives.

I assume the BV10 does not care if its a Gefen Switch or not. Guess the STB-C will not work but I will not change the switch very often.

    Any experience out there?

My experience has been with the Gefen that the Gefen PUC in the STB-List must be selected to allow additional PUC controllers - the BV10 does care if it is a Gefen switch!!

    Thanks,

Its good to know that any switch can be used.

Does anyone know if the XtremeMAC is a good quality expander?

I have the Gefen switch and it works perfectly with B&O. Also, Monster makes an HDMI switch that can learn the IR commands sent from B&O. The Monster switch takes a little programming, but it could be a cheaper alternative. The Monster switch can also be used for seamless switching, controlled by a BeoSystem 1, when someone wants to make an HDMI video connection to a tv when using a BeoSystem 1.

    Hi,

May seem like a silly answer, but how many HDMI ports does your BV10 have?  I thought they came with about 2 / 3?

Although I don't have the XtremeMac HDMI splitter, I use their HDMI cables and find them to be excellent and reliable.
