    Distribution of N.Music & N.Radio over BV 7-32 ?!?

I'm not sure if this is a simple question, however it will save a lot of issues for me.

My link installation is as follows:

Main TV BV 4-42 (Beosystem 2) and Beosound 4. 2nd Living Room BV 3-32, Bedroom BV 7-32, Office MX 4002/Overture/Linkplayer over iMac. Plus of course devices such as HDR1, SAT Rx etc.

Although BV 7-32 is N.Music & N.Radio ready, when I use them, they go through the BS4 on main living room (Switches on). How would it be possible to use these functions without going through the Beosound 4? I know that for the rest of the devices it is not possible as they are not N.Music ready but BV 7?

Beosound 4 is in A.Option 0 as it is directly linked on my BV4-42 and speakers are connected on the Beosystem 2. Meaning that if I put it on A.Option 1 I have to connect speakers on the BS4, something that I do not want to do.

Any ideas would be very useful!!!

    Best regards

I asked some questions in the other post ....

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

It is normal that the Audiomaster turns on when you use N.MUSIC. Only audiomasters have the N.MUSIC software.

All Beovisions, even quite old one can handle N.MUSIC, as long as the audiomaster does.

Indeed although I was hoping not!!! Even my MX4002 can turn on N.Music since there is a compatible audio master.

However, if I remember correct, with Linkplayer on vintage compatibility mode could do the trick even if an audio master wouldn't be present on the 7-32" or my 4-42" as well?

I think this could work, although of course I do use my BS4 daily.

If there isn't an Audiomaster at all, LinkPlayer can act as an AudioMaster, in option 0 or 1 for example.

The Vintage Audiomaster mode is there if there IS an audiomaster, but an older one that does not support N.MUSIC.

So I guess the only solution would be to have the BS4 in Option 1 but then I have to connect a pair of speakers then :(

If I remember correct you mentioned that if BS4 is in option 1 then it can distribute e.g. AMEM and N.Music at the same time?

Spiros, the question is why do you not want to got through the Besound 4? Because that is the way B&O intended it.

    Re: Distribution of N.Music & N.Radio over BV 7-32 ?!?

The issue is that Beosound's 4 use is mainly from my kids with AMEM and in many cases in parallel I want to listen to N.Radio or N.Music (In another link room) so in case I want to use it then there is a conflict!!

The only way indeed is to connect the speakers to the Beosound 2 and set both the TV and the Beosound to option 1.

You'll lose surround sound. You can still get the TV sound on the speakers by doing AV-TV.

    Re: Distribution of N.Music & N.Radio over BV 7-32 ?!?

Might be stupid question but....... What if I switch on the vintage compatibility. Would that affect the Beosounds' 4 performance when I will be using N.Music on it? And if I press N.Music on the Overture (Over Vintage compatibility mode), will Beosound 4 switch on for N.Music as well to distribute or it will remain off or playing what it will be currently playing?

It won't work, as the BS4 will switch On as well.

And if you disable N.MUSIC on the BS4, then the room where you call N.MUSIC from will not turn on the speakers.

You'd better buy a beosund 3 for your kids, it reads SD cards as well.
