    BS9000 and BV5

I have a BS9000 and I want to buy a BV5 for my bedroom. My question is can I use the integrated speaker of BV5 to listening my BS9000 music sources without turning on BV5? If yes, I will not need another speaker in my bedroom. Thanks

I'm pleased to say the answer is yes Smile The screen on the TV does not turn on but the green indicator light on the top of the TV illuminates to let you know the speakers are active.

    Regards,
    Cal

I agree Cal, however I remember there is luminance in the screen when you play audio, pretty sure of it, thanks

Thanks. How to connect BV5 and BS9000? Any specific parameter to think of?

No idea what you mean about parameters but the two products should be connected by ML cable and TV should be in V.OPT 2 and 9000 in A.OPT 0

Only if they are in the same room, otherwise change nothing

    Beovision LX5500, BeoCord V6000, BeoSound 9000, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 3500, BeoLab 2000, BeoVox1, BeoCom 6000, Form1, LightControl 1

Thanks. Does BVS have a good sound? How does it compares to a beolab 4000?

I see your point Daniel, I was wrong to have assumed they were in the same room - obviously we don't know what settings they currently have so I would always set the BV5, if acting as a link room set to V.OPT 6 and the stereo to A.OPT 1 if these are the only two items in the house.

IMHO the speakers in the BV5 give a tremendous reproduction for a TV, however unless you were to put Beolab 4000 an equal distance apart I would struggle to make a comparison but I assume that the 4000's would be better, but then again they are not housed in the BV5 cabinet.

Just ordered a second hand BV5 for 2500 euros... Hope that I will not be disappointed...
