    Does Anyone know how to take a Beocom 2 apart

    I've gone and spilt water over my Beocom 2 Doh!! it seems ok but the screen is cloudy and i wanted to take it apart to dry it out, anyone got any pictures or advise how to?

    Can't help w/ the disassembly... I think it is quite difficult, perhaps impossible at consumer level, but here is an old trick...

    DON'T USE THE PHONE! Bury it in a bowl of DRY Laughing white rice... leave it for a few days. The rice acts as a dessicant.

    This thread seems to validate that disassembly is done at the factory w/ special tools.

    Hi ,

     

    Defect BeoCom 2 handsets have to be shipped to Bang & Olufsen and a SWAP units is returned.

    BeoVision 4 - 50 HD -  Beo5 - Beolab 5 - Beolab 7-1 - Beolab 6000 .

    A similar issue: what about replacing the battery on a BC2?

    Hi ,

     

    The batteries can be changed  by removing the two screws in the bottom of the handset and removing the lock rings with a tool. The batteries are connected with a small plug.

    BeoVision 4 - 50 HD -  Beo5 - Beolab 5 - Beolab 7-1 - Beolab 6000 .
