Not bad, nearly had a bid on that myself.

There will always be someone to ruin your bargain at the last minute (unless the listing has been very creatively misspelt...). That's why I don't do this poker table bidding anymore - I just put in the maximum amount I'm willing to pay and forget about it. If it was going to be a bargain, this won't change it a bit.

The most popular Finnish auction site always extends the listing by 5 minutes whenever there's a new bid. That gets highly annoying when people contemplate for 4½ minutes, then add another 2 euros, only to be topped by the automatic bid again and again. What's the point? Confused

Don't lose too much sleep! The replacement CD is mega expensive and even though the Beocenter is supposed to be mint, they very rarely are!!

How true Graham! Of all the items I have ever sold I only ever used the word MINT maybey 2 0r 3 times. To me mint means it looks as good as new.

just collected it and it is 10000% mint and right now its playing eric clapton on CD.

the CD does jump a bit sometime but its working.

If anyone is ever interested i have a friend who has been fixing bang and olufsen equiptment for over 20 years and has his ful house linked up and his 9500 has been running for 10+ years since he first fixed it.

he will open up the 9300 and find the phillips part number and source a laser and fit it himself

might cost £30 might cost £120 if we can only find a new Mecc.

Nice one Seanie - just goes to show you can get a bargain on eBay. I got a mint Beomaster 1000 for £25 the other day and am well pleased :)

Its funny my Beocenter 8500 was advertised as CD not working when I bought it and it too was 100% mint and working. Is it that people have trouble operating them? :S

    @ Seanie

you already have the beocenter?you live very near to the seller ;).And the CD system working....very very lucky...:).I had a beocenter 9300 years ago(with the "banana" laser mechanism), my dealer trade in it with a Dvd1(my dealer valued it 1000€ 5 years ago ) ...it was tricky my beocenter because sometimes it didn't read the cd and so re-opened the door...and it wasn't in mint condition....

Fate decided that my dealer completely crashed my ex-beocenter a few days after,it fell from his hands...

Well at least i'm happy that the winner is b&o fan :)....layyyyylaaaa

Re: I want to cry... [:'(]

well last night it played music from a cd for hours, this morning the cd will not work.

My friend will take it to peices and put a new laser in for me, i will do my best to photograph as much as possible to post on here.

to be honest i bought the 9300 knowing that the cd may never work and without sounding odd i would have bought this just as a link room Amp as i think its a peice of art.

When i first started collecting B&o i loved the newer systems beosound 3000 BV3, BV7 but recently maybe with age i really love some of the older items.
