    Beogram CD 35000 Help with repair

    My CD player has given up, will not play, anyone know who can service/repair or sell me a replacement

    What is the cd player doing? Is the disc spinning? It could be a dirty laser. My cd 3500 was giving me problems and I cleaned the laser using methylated spirits and cotton wool (No expert so i don't know if that is the best thing to use) Worked like a dream ever since!!

    Agree with above although isopropyl alcohol probably better than meths as it leaves no residue.

    The first thing a cd player does when you press play is search for focus. If not found it will not spin the disc. That is the reason for cleaning the laser lens before doing anything else.

    Just removed bottom cover plate something? small PSB on CD mechanism looks to have been hot?
