Need help connecting Beogram to Beomaster 6500!

    Hi

I have a Beomaster and 3 Beograms (9000, 3000, 5500). I would like to connect them to a Beomaster 6500 to look if they are working fine. I tried all 3 to connect to the Beomaster via the PHONO socket. There was very very little sound coming from the cartridge but no sound from the speaker! If  connected to my Beocenter 9000 they are all working fine. Has anybody a clue how to get them working with a Beomaster 6500?

    Kind regards, Noah.

I think you need an external RIAA amplifier to get them to work with the BM6500.

Agreed. The Beogram 6500 has the RIAA built in the Beogram - means it can be mounted further away. Lee sells external RIAAs if you need one as the Beograms with them built in are sought after and expensive. Interestingly, the datalink will also not work as it uses the opposite pin. Solved by connecting pins 6 and 7.
