    MasterLink Gateway and sw versions

    Hi, when reading documentation for MLGW compability is mentions high SW verions for many products. For example BeoLab 3500 >= SW3.30, BeoLink Active >= SW1.6.

    If you have these products with lower SW versions, will they not function at all with the MLGW or will there be limited functionality?

    Is it possible to upgrade to the latest SW version regardless how old the products are?

    The updates are possible.  Apparently they're "board swaps."

    I've actually ordered a new "board" for my BL passive and 3500. . 

    It's in denmark awaiting shipment. .

    OK, thanks for the answer. Do you know why you need to upgrade? What will not function if you don't?
