i wonder if you can help. i have just bought a beogram 3300 and noticed that there only seems to be 5 prongs in the din plug but it looks like there are 2 missing.  I have plugged it into my Beosystem 2500 (attached to BeoLab 4500 speakers ) and there is no sound coming out. Can you advise me if i need a separate pre amp as I don't understand whats going on. Really appreciate your help.

You will need a seperate preamp. The two missing prongs are for datalink remote control. You may well need these but I couldnt tell you if the deck will operate via remote with a 2500 ststem. I am sure someone will come on that does know the answer to that part of your question.

As you will be operating with a separate pre amp you will probably not need pins 6 and 7 anyway as your cables are unlikely to support datalink.

The Beogram 3300 and the Beocenter 2500 are both datalink compatible but you will need the correct cables.
