    Deletion of Posts

    Dear Beoworld

Big thanks to whoever deleted the handbags at thirty paces thread in the eBay forum. Having spent 20 minutes skillfully crafting a witty and erudite right of reply to some of the postings in the thread, in which I reached out to Graham and everyone else I have ever marginally offended on this forum, imagine my dismay to find that upon hitting 'post' the thread had been deleted.

Was what was contained within really that bad, and moreover was it really necessary to prevent further postings for fear of a Beoworld civil war breaking out? I'm sure that Graham and I could probably agree that we're all big boys on here and no one was hurt (or more importantly) no one complained about the treatment dished out. I certainly didn't.

I apologise but I had a number of pms requesting the deletion of this thread from some of the participants including the OP who started the thread. I am sorry that your erudite reply was a casualty of this but I didn't think that there was much else to add. I was trying to leave it on site but was persuaded otherwise. As a moderator, I have to say that I do receive a fair number of complaints of uncivil behaviour on site and we do try to keep this site friendly and informative. I am sure Graham is up for a discussion via PM though.

1925 was the year B&O was founded - the others are dates of significance.

    Re: Deletion of Posts

If the original poster (can't remember who it was) asked to have it removed then you did the right thing Peter. He was obviously embarrassed / annoyed / angry that his post had been hyjacked and I'd like to apologise to the poster as I helped stoke the fire. Embarrassed

    Cheers
