Just how 'Old' is this 'New' Beovision 5?

Spotted this BV5 on eBay. It's also in B&O Bromley at £3995. I was tempted. Surely it must be one of the last HD BV5's? No it isn't. No answers to questions asked of seller. Rang both B&O shops involved. Not an HD model I was told. Oh, I said, then must be no later than 2005? We have so many TVs going through these stores.... we're not sure was the response. Then the serial number was volunteered. 15XXXX... That puts it at 2001 I think.

So this 'New' in 2008 TV was made in 2001. It may be the bargain of the century but there is something not quite right with any of this.

How long can a dealer have something in stock and still sell it as new? Is 7 or 9 years reasonable? (Apologies to all in advance if I've misunderstood the serial numbers but I was going by this thread posted by Lee.)

EDIT Lee's 'Lifestyle' pictures as well???????? (Inc separately listed stand.)

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure. [W C Fields]

Agree with your dating (see MorethanAV's BV5 page for other examples)

The link you listed definitely seems misleading!Erm

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
