    Beovox CX 50/100 RAL colour code.

    Does anybody know if the colours of the CX series (black, white and grey) match colours from the international RAL colour code?

    RAL is the shortening of 'Reichsausschuß für Lieferbedingungen' an institution which was founded in the late 20s.

    RAL has since 1927 provided a uniform language within colors. RAL colors are standardized, numbered and named so that they are understood worldwide.

    Well, I contacted B&O Customer Support, and they replied that they don't use colours from the RAL code standard. A pity if you want to repaint and get the exact colour again.

    But if have RAL cards/sample cards you can easily make a very good/close choice.

    Sure you can get close, but it will never be the same colour. Especially the white colour is difficult.

    To specify colours Bang & Olufsen used (uses?) "NCS" figures instead of "RAL"

    A white back cover for a MX8000 ist specified as "Colour: White - Colour code: NCS 0500"

    "NCS" instead of "RAL" might get the B&O customer support on the right track ...
