    Blue Volume display

Is the blue volume display supposed to change according to the volume level? Mine seems to be either full on or off, yet I recall seeing this change according to the volume level at the dealer.

I do think that a weakness in the BS5 is the lack of the display of useful information - track length, elapsed time, volume level, radio program info - yet these can be displayed on link equipment.

    Re: Blue Volume display

If the BS5 is connected to an audio master (like a bs9000, bs4, etc.) then it does not control it's own volume and the blue light is always full on.  Not sure what happens when it is connected to a TV.

Yes you are right. If the BS5/BM5 is the audiomaster the the blue line will display, if not the audiomaster (as I had it setup) then the blue line will not display the volume change - although it would be nice if it did.
