    Beocenter 4000

Hello! My name is dan and the otherday I came across a Beocenter 4000, its mine now and I'm wondering how much its worth... Its almost literally brand new, as in it was still in the box and has never been used... are they worth anything? I checked a few sites but couldnt really find any info except that it was made in about 1980 or something. Thanks for any help :)

p.s its not the 1986-87 model, its the first 4000 model made in 1979 :)

B&O made some excellent stuff at around this time, but sadly very little of it is worth anything significant in money terms . Assuming everything is in perfext working order as well as being cosmetically excellent you are looking at maybe £50 on eBay, but this can vary wildly based on pot luck and you may end up with much less.

Well it is certainly worth using! If the going rates are like that over there, I'd just add a CD player, some decent speakers and keep the thing.

Agreed! It really isn't worth selling B&O kit from that era, it sounds wonderful, looks good and isn't worth much money. Far better to use and enjoy or give as a freebie to someone you know who can use it.

Fantastic cassceiver - basically a Beomaster 2200 - one of the best - and a simplified Beocord 5000 - the only all B&O cassette deck. Unfortunately cassettes are no longer in vogue so tricky to sell. I bought mine for £25 some years ago.

Hey thanks for the replies guys! damn i was hoping it might be worth something :P. oh well! I cant really use it myself so might just sell it on ebay or something. I got it for free anyway hehe. Or I could keep it until Im 70 and then maybe it would be worth something? mint condition B&O from 1979 might be back in fashion in 2059 haha
