Hi,
I recently purchased a Beomaster 6500. It works well however I noticed that when it is turned off it makes a faint humming noise. I am wondering if this is typical for these machines or if I may have a problem?
Thanks
It's probably a capacitator. My Beomaster 7000 had the same problem, but only when listening to the radio.

I asked the exact same question about my 6500 on the forum a while back and was told that it is sometimes the power supply that makes the noise. Only noticable on standby.

Thanks,
I assume this is a common problem?? And not a sign of problems to come in the future?
No it shouldn't cause a problem....I think that particular model just does that for some reason.
