    B&O Beocord 3300.

    Hi

Some months ago my Beocord 3300 showed a fullset of indicator lites, when switched on.  It does move tape in play mode and performs rewind and fast forward actions ok.  However, there is no audio signal via the Beogram.  Martin did suggest a capacitor on the main board, which fixed the problem!.  The fault has returned this week.  Martin please refresh me on the capcitor value and location.

    Thanks.

    Regards.

    Re: B&O Beocord 3300.

Probably not the same cap again and a complete recap would be optimal.
Anyway, there is a pair of caps on the top PCB, often
black radial ones. They are 220uF/10V, I think, and
    slightly underdimensioned - often fails.
The cap kit contains 40V components for these positions if
I remember correctly but 220uF/25V will also work fine.

The problem is that the 8V reference voltage has gone.
There can be other reasons for this though the above mentioned
caps are to blame in most cases.

I replace these on all machines coming here as a matter of cause.

    Hi Martin

Your very speedy response is much appreciated.  Will get my local TV/Hi-Fi dealer to put your suggestions with the capacitors, into action.

    Thanks again.

Many thanks Martin, your help saved another Beocord 3300 from the skip. I had the same problem with no sound and all level leds lit so replaced the three black caps (47uF and the two 220uF) and it works. Found one of the 220uF had gone short circuit.
