    beosound 3000 help ??

    hello, i have a beosound 3000 which is paired with some beolab 1 speakers, the system used to be controlled via my avant tv which has now been sold and now my remote or beosound cant be controlled via remote or the system itself. thehifi only plays at the set volume and is none adjustable, very frustrating.... . there is a red light on the unit is this standby ?  should this be green ? please help.

    You need to reset the options - at present it will be option 0 - you need option 1.

    Put everything into standby.

    On the Beo4, press the red dot and menu at the same time.

    Then with the list button go to option setting and say Go.

    Go to A.OPT and type 1.    A LED on the 3000 should blink.

    It should then work fine!

    tried it sorry its not working, ive had the green light on the unit before but unaware how i got it. ive tried the red button pressed with various other buttons on the unit but to no result, ive given in on the beo 4 remote. thanks for your help peter.

    The green light means the timer is active. You need to change the option on the BS3000 using the remote - you cannot do it on the BS3000 by itself. At present, the 3000 infra red receiver is turned off as it was accepting the signals via your TV. With the TV not there, you need to turn it back on - hence the instructions above.
