I appreciate that the devaluation of sterling has made these cartridges an even more expensive purchase,but what are the additional import charges one would have to pay on the purchase price?

I am given to understand that their treble is brighter than that of the equivalent B & O cartridge,but does this mellow as the cartridge beds in?

Has anyone auditioned the SMMC4,3,and 2 cartridges,and is able to comment on which one represents the best value in terms of sound quality/cost?

The last batch of 4 cost me around £80 in UK import duty.

I have never kept one in use for longer than a week and have not noticed any change in the sound.

I have not felt the need to go beyond SMMC4
