    replacing MCP 6500 with Beolink

Hi everybody, thanks for such a helpful site. I am new to the B&O community, I bought a set of used Beomaster 6500 and Beogram 6500 CD, it did not come with the master control panel 6500 or beolink 7000, just wondering if the Beolink 1000, 5000 would work with the Beomaster 6500 or it is just MCP 6500 and Beolink 7000 ?

    thanks

I use a Beolink 5000, and really like the two-way feedback on CD tracks, etc. Works perfectly and would be my recommended remote for that setup. I have an MCP 6500, but mostly use it for programming, etc - as it's too big to move about conveniently (same with the Beolink 7000, in my opinion, compared to the compact Beolink 5000).

For most all day to day uses the Beolink 1000 will work fine and you can also program with it if you know the key strokes to use. They are not obvious, they have been posted on Beoworld in the past and I believe Chris (Medogsfat on this forum) is a bit of an expert.
