Beogram 9500 Turntable with MMC2 - approximate value

    Hi all,

I have, in my possession a Beogram 9500 Record Deck in a mint state of condition. It has the MMC2 stylus, together with the mains power cable & the connecting powerlink cable.

I have powered the unit up and all seems to work perfectly - however I simply do not have a single vinyl record to play. So I have not actually fully tested it/heard it.

I would appreciate an approximation on the value for this unit - as I cannot see the same unit for sale on ebay - all I can see is a different deck with an MMC4.

How much would be a reasonable value for this Deck only - and how much for the Deck together with the Beocenter 9500? i.e. a Beosystem 9500.

    Regards,

    Michael

Well I would invest in a record simply so that you can say 'Fully Tested'! We all know that not tested in ebayese means broken so you don't want to be associated with that!

On value, these seem to go for less than decks with a RIAA in them so I would guess about £350 if it is really good. I must add that I would not pay that - I would buy a 4000 for half that! Smile

Thanks for that information & opinion Peter.

I also have the Beocenter 9500 that has always been used together with this deck. This is is absolutely MINT condition and is FULLY working.

Are they worth more 'together' or split up separately..?

    Thanks

You are likely to get more separately. Lovely machine the 9500. One of my favourites and even my wife likes that one! Smile

    Simon,

    It isn't.

Not only am I thinking about a 9500, I now find I am spending inordinate amounts of time on this site and on ebay.

I am also displaying unfortunate behavioural changes as well.  Went to pick up Peter's BM 4400 from Lee in Eastbourne and was running a little late and got pinged by a traffic officer with a radar gun.  I don't exceed sensible speed limits,  but the need to get the BM home in time to listen to it that evening becam paramount.  Surprisingly, the traffic officer did not understand my special plea!

B&O addiction ruins your driving licence.
