BeoVision 7-40 MK III, MK IV and MK V

I have a BeoVision 7-40 MK III and have just ordered a trade in to the BlueRay version.

The dealer then told me that the MK IV is the one without a BlueRay player, and it doesn't have 100/120Hz refresh rate, and the BlueRay version is called MK V and has a 100/120Hz refresh rate.

Is my dealer wrong, or is the current version of BeoVision 7-40 called MK V?

There is no MKV - the MKIV model has the Blueray and 100Hz panel.

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

Re: BeoVision 7-40 MK III, MK IV and MK V

My dealer insisted that the first BeoVision 7-40 without DVD was not 100Hz.

He may have said that it was the first ones they delivered.

But you say that he is wrong, and all MK IV have 100Hz refresh rate.

Both the 7-40 MkIV non Blu-ray and the 7-40 MkIV with Blue ray is 100/120 refresh rate.Go to the Bang and Olufsen website and look on the specs.

    Hope this helps!.

They still may sell off some MKIII sans DVD and those would not have the 100hz.

Re: BeoVision 7-40 MK III, MK IV and MK V

JK has it correct.  The introduction of the non-DVD 7, and the really low price on it, was used to clear existing inventories of the 50/60hz panels.  That has now been accomplished.  Any BV-7 40 which you ORDER today will be produced with the 100/120 hz panel.

There is, as of yet, no such thing as a MK 5.

    We kid because we love.

Current BV7-40" is MKIV version (100/120 Hz).

Anyway, you can even order a MKIII version (50/60Hz) with or without built-in BluRay, cheaper than the 100/120Hz version (about -25%, till the end of the stock) Wink
