    Beolab 8000 won't switch on

Hello, i am new to this forum. Altough i have been reading it once in a while.

I hope someone can help me.

I recently became a proud owner of a beogram 8002 with mmc-2 needle.

Last week i was connecting it to my bs9000 via a phono pre-amp.

There was some humming because of the mass-cable nothing to worry about i thought.

Today i noticed however that both my beolab 8000 (1998) were not switching on anymore.

When i switch to the line position and then back to L or R both amps are switching on and working.

The amps staying on and are switching off when powering off the bs 9000.

Does anyone have the technical knowledge to tell which component is broke ?

    Appriciating your advice.

I would suggest double checking the powerlink for dust (both ends - all sockets and plugs).

Also, once you've connected the items back together, unplug the system from the mains power for a minute and plug it back in and power it up. Any luck?
