Setup of various bits of kit

    Hi allConfused

Need help I think  -  got an MX5500 trying to connect a V8000 vcr, DVD1, panasonic sat box and a set top box - I can get the system to sort of work, using av1 as sat setup anddvd1 plugged thro it however will not work on bl1000 or beo4 only by manual control ie on box

the vcr is plugged thro the settop unit and again only by manual control

I've tried dvd to vcr to av1 and av2 can't get dvd to work via remotes -  also the sat and settop boxes work when in other socket a prog'd accordingly

am i looking for rocking horse droppings expecting perfection? is the tv just to old to cope? i realise the dvd and the vcr are designed primarily to use the beo 4

anjy help greatlyfully received and tried etc!!!!!

salut a un wet and windy finistere!

I don't think the B&O products will work through another device. Have you thought about an AV expander? My AV9000 has a similar number of devices - VCR into AV! and then SKY, Panasonic DVD/Freeview box and a Wii.

Ok, point taken - will an expander work with an early mx5500 ie first software version or will it need a later sw chip - if it will anyone out there got one that is available?
