    BV3 - Tube

    Hello,

     

    just won a BV3 in mint cosmetic condition with stand and BEO4 remote - does anyone have an estimate on how much a new tube will be ?- I live in Wigan so I expect King st Manchester will be my closest

    For my BV 3-32 I was quoted 1.300 Euro including work - appr. 1.150 GBP. That is why I sold it... too much for me.

    You can get another used set below that price easily.

    wow - that is a no no - looks like I will be splitting the stand,  TV and Beo 4 remote and selling on Ebay - luckily the Beo4 is the DVD version and absolutely perfect condition

     

    I won it all for £62.00 :)

    Well done!

    Not worth a new tube though. Think they run to approx £700 in the UK. More than you'd get back for a minter BV3 I'm afraid.

    spoke to David @ King Street, Manchester today - he said maybe £400-£600 although he was not convinced of the diagnosis so there may be light at the end of the tunnel.

    I sincerely hope so as the set is absolutely beautiful to look at even turned off - I shudder to think what Lord of the Rings extended editions will look like and also more importantly sound like

    I was quoted £830 - what a pity but no way can I afford that - I can buy one from Lifestyle A/V under that figure
