Sony CD Changer at the heart of the CMM-10

I know a few people on Beoworld have the CMM-10 ( 10 disc CD Changer based on a Sony Car CD System ) , and that it is pretty easy to plug a datalink cable into the Tape2 / Aux of any B&O system, but is it possible to modify your own Sony CD Changer to take a datalink cable rather than wait for one to come up on ebay, as I believe they were only sold in the States.

Don't think it would be that easy. There must be some sort of interface which converts the Datlink signals to ones the CD changer can understand. When I put a Sony CD changer in my old Rover, I kept the standard head unit.  There was a small box which converted the signals between the two. There must be a similar box with the CMM-10.

I think your right, my understanding is that I really need the B&O CD Changer box Type 5103 to make it all work

What Sony 10 CD Changers work with the 5103 box, is it a specific American model, or will any Sony changers from the nineties work with the B&O 5103 control box  ???
