    BeoPort to Beosystem 4

I have recently installed a Beoport linking my Avant & Beosystem 4.The installation seemed to go OK with regard to the PC end, but although the Beosystem 4 indicates that N-Radio & N-Music is available I cannot get sound out of the audio system.

I have set the Option 6 on the PC and option 2 on the Beosystem 4 and Avant.

Could anyone help solve this problem.

    Thanks in anticipation

    Sonicnozzle;

What are you selecting via the Beo 4 for N. Radio or N. Music ?

I saved A.TAPE/MEM for stored CD music using a BS 3200. I added N.Radio and N.Music in the list selection of the Beo 4 for the Beoport interface.

    Dear SWISS 2

    Thanks for your reply.

I have added N-Radio and N-music to the menu on the Beo 4 and activated those options on the BeoSound 4 menu with no effect.

I also want to play N-Music & N-radio through the AVANT.

I am unsure how to activate the N-Music and N-Radio for the AVANT

    Thanks

This is quite odd. . . . . . Is your BS 4 display showing the signal from your Beo 4 when you press N.RADIO  or N. MUSIC ?

How are your connections configured ?

Yes the Beo 4 shows N-Music or N-Radio and the Beosound 4 indicates the ame of the music playing. But no sound from Beosound spakers.

The Beoport is set to Option 4 and the Beosound 4 and Avant set to Option 1

    Try option 6.

I have tried Option 6 no change.

I have contacted my local B&O shop he suggested the same option.

I will double check my masterlink connections

    Thanks again

Did you use a line audio cable between the pc(line out or speaker out) and the pc2/beoport?

Also look at the volume from the pc.

    Re: BeoPort to Beosystem 4

I  tried to replicate the problem you are experiencing, as you describe it.

    Two possibilities resulted:

    1. The PC volume control may be turned down. Try turning your Mediaplayer or remote volume control all the way down and then bring it up slowly.

    2. Using the Beo 4, shut it off, and then check that your BS 4 has selected N.MUSIC OR N. RADIO. Scroll the appropriate selection on the Beo 4 and press GO,  bringing the volume up slowly.
