My cd player has started turning backward and really fast.

Might anybody know why?

Hello Sonja and Welcome to Beoworld!

I had a similar problem with my Beosystem 2300 two years ago. In my case the entire CD unit was broken and replaced by a new one.

Beoworld's twenty-eighth ninth prize winner and fifty-first second prize winner. Best £30 I've ever spent!

Well, I had the CD-mechanism and the door mechanism replaced at the same time. Combined the bill was € 494. I have no idea what it would cost to replace just the CD-mechanism.
