    Beocord 8900V

    Hello,

I am looking for a remote control for a Beocord 8900V  Video 2000 video casette recorder.

My question is: What is the name/model number of the fitting remote and where could get one?

    Thanks, Miklos

    Re: Beocord 8900V

    Thanks Craig,

I will look into the Ebay market but ,I found on this website 3 different aftermarket remotes, could you please tell me which one would be usable with the 8900V?

    http://www.remote-controls-shop.co.uk/search-result.aspx?type=model&brand=Bang+%26+Olufsen&model=VIDEO+TERMINAL

Also it is a remote receiver window like thing on the front of this unit, together with a 3 pin conector, I wonder if this unit has it's own IR receiver ,or gets it's the command signal from the TV, through a wire? If the later is the case, what is the IR window looking thing on the front doing?

    Thanks, Miklos

    Miklos,

The Beocord 8900 uses the "Video Terminal" as shown below.

With regards to the three "Clone" remotes you have found, there is no way of knowing other than asking the seller, however I would not purchase one, I would focus on getting the proper Video Terminal

    Regards Keith....
