Beocenter 7700 - problem with system need help chrismas present for my mother

When I turn on my beocenter 7700 whether im using the tap, record, or radio, when i increase the volume past 2.8 decibles the system shuts down. Maybe the amp? Thank for the help.

Sounds like the protection circuit. Will need a service - At a guess, the power supply trimmers are out of spec and you need a few components changing. Well worth it with this particular machine.

Also worth checking your speaker connections too. If you have any loose strands of wire causing a short, the protection will also cut in.
