I am in based in London. COuld you tell me the nearest place to have it looked at? Or Is there any DIY specialist who can put me through? I have bought some surround foams for the pair but  I am scared to open the speakers in in case I ruin them I need help ASAP.

    Re: RL140 speakers

Welcome to Beoworld !   Yes - thumbs up

Please don't blame your visitor. It's quite safe to say that all RL140's that haven't had their surrounds fixed yet will need it by now.

The four woofers foam surrounds can be replaced, not the easiest woofers to get right because of their tight tolerances but it can be done. I've done many but I'm in Denmark, I'm sure that someone near you will be able to help you.

It's worth having the original drivers done, finding modern substitutes with correct specifications is practically impossible.
