    Beogram 1102

    Hello!

I've just bought an old beogramm 1102 which seems to work in every respect except it will not lift the tonearm but just drags it onto the platter. Is this a major/expensive problem or something I can attempt to rectify myself? Also wondered if anybody could recommend anywhere to fix this kind of thing. I'm on the Isle of Man so I'd have to post it.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to Beoworld. Take a look at the post below, it seems to deal with the same problem.

    Hi there,

Definitely feel up for having a go (time allowing) with support from your good self, it was one of your old threads that makes it seem worth attempting. Might be able to make a start this weekend. .

Thanks for the support, I'll keep you posted.

Hello again, I finally had the time this week to have a look at this deck and it proved a complete success, all done in ten minutes I'm well chuffed! thanks to Craig for the thread which was exactly the problem the deck had. It now works perfectly and I was really impressed with the sound, I expected it to be good but it really is very good indeed.

Now all I need is a switch cover which unfortunately got lost somehow when the deck was sent to me... any ideas?

Thanks again everyone - Chris (the islands leading B&O specialist :)
