    BeoVision 8

I have a new Beovision 8 and on the menu screen it has a timer option.  When I select timer it gives me the option of on/off.  Then nothing else happens.  Anyone know what this is and what it does?

Is your Beovision 8 a standalone TV or is it connected via Masterlink to an audio system ?

    Regards Keith....

    Re: BeoVision 8

Seems your BV8 is set to option 5 or 6 - set up as a Link-TV. In this case you program the timer on the main-TV, the videomaster, and you decide with TIMER ON/OFF on your BV8, whether this link-station will be activated by the main-TV timer.

If the BV8 is set to option 1 or 2 (master) it should be possible to program timers directly on the BV8 (?)...

How do I check the options and make the changes?

Actually the BV 8 does not have an integrated time unfortunately. The timer on/off option is always there I believe.

    Re: BeoVision 8

When I saw the Timer in the set-up, I was hoping I could set program starts on/off on the TV, but that's not possible. But I have it connected via ML and a converter to my Beosystem 6500, and have set up a wake-up alarm with a radio station on that. Works perfectly, with the BV8 initiating the Beosystem. Also works with CD, record player, etc.

Also using it for on/off for the nightly news, where I can take the sound from the STB and hear that while in the home-office.
