    Service manuals

We have been given a very large supply of Service manuals for a lot of the older equipment. Lots of Beolits, Beomaster, Beocord etc.

Are there any that are particularly wanted at present as I can scan those as a priority..

    Re: Service manuals

Will it be possible to create a list of scanned

    The service manuals

    The user manuals

I think it would be very helpfull to have the information on a listed form, as a PDF file - a list on the webpage or what would be most practical to genrate and to update.

Peter I really like to thank you for your work helping all other to a very easy way to get the informations of the products. I you receive requests for the periode 1960 -> 1980 and don't have the manuals - I would be pleased to help. Send me a mail.

    Hi Frede,

I am compiling a list of what we have at present and will send you a copy! Mainly 1960 - 1980 though a few later. I have put the Beolit manuals on and am starting on Beomasters next!

    Best wishes,

    Peter

I have put the proper BM 800/901 service manual on now. Previously just the schematic sheet.

    Tks Peter,

I will compare the list with my 'stock of manuals' and let you know the result.

    Re: Service manuals

Sorry to hijack this thread, but Fredde I need to thank you for entertaining Lee, Ed and myself in your lovely home.
Your demo of your 5000 setup with "Hotel California" has left a profound impact on me and when I got home, I immediately ordered the DVD for use on my own system (Avant, Pentalabs and Beolab 8000) It's brilliant.
Just a quick question--- What were the untraditional speakers, the ones without conventional drivers called? They were large floorstanding panels, I think you said electro-static or something similar. High voltage?
    Kindest regards, Andy.
P.S. I hope one day you and Peter will meet up.

    Andy

The speakers - Quad ESL 63 - Produced by Quad (The Acoustical Manufacturing Co Ltd in the preriod 1981 to 1999 in Huntingdon UK. Yes high voltage - some 5->6 kVolt. If you are interested you will find a huge number of informations on Google.

Tks for taking the time to go to Venø, it was a pleasure to see you and have a nice discussion about the classic products of B&O.

I love Quad ESL63s - have nearly bought some on many occasions but really don't have the space. Have you got the sub-woofers for them?

I compromised and have BBC LS3/5As and AB1s instead - which have often been said to be the most like Quads in tone for a cabinet speaker though clearly not quite the same ethereal transparency. More wife friendly - useful as they are in our bedroom!

Service Manual for the Beocenter 2300/2500 is now on - in 3 parts as it loads more easily this way and is probably easier to download!

    Re: Service manuals

    Peter,

Since you said that it helps to know which manuals are wanted, the two which I most need are the service manuals for Beocenter 7002 and headphones U70.

Thank you for all the scanning - I know from experience how long it can take.

The 7000 is on my personal site - I do have the addition for the 7002 which I will scan. I do have the U70 one but it is not very useful! Just an exploded diagram and a parts list. I'll do both this week end.

    Re: Service manuals

    Peter,

    Where is your personal site?

With the U70, I need to see how to open one side, without damage - a connection has become intermittent.

    Thank you.
