B&O 10CD Multichanger - Not on the Product List :-(

    Hi all,

I have a B&O 10 CD Disc Multichanger that I was led to believe was a US spec item that was then converted to UK spec.

It runs off Tape Port 2 on my current Beocentre 8500 and I have the B&O booklets etc.

Potentially it has some SONY gubbins internally but I can't find any details on this site in terms of details etc.

Does anyone have any more info as I'm thinking of selling it as I don't really use it?

    Cheers

Well, actually it's on the products lists. But unfortunately it's not much written about it. At least you got the name, CMM-10.

Do a search on CMM 10 on BeoWorld, it has been discussed before.

CMM-10 was the DVD-1 of CD players.  Wink  I don't know if it was US-only or not; but it is pretty rare.  It is, at heart, a 2nd geration Sony Car 10-disc CD changer, for which B&O created an interface box which translated DataLink into whatever commands Sony was using.  So you must have an Audio Master with DataLink, which eliminates all of the modern systems, and you must attach it to one of the 'Tape' sockets, not the CD socket.

At least it ought to be easy to scavenge spare cartridges for the player!  Cool

It's marvelous.  Those (like me) who think the Beosystems 6500 and 7000 were the ultimate B&O products but wish they had the CD changing capabilitiy of the BS 9000, well, here's the solution.
