BeoGram 5000 a question no one can answer???

Hi Guys. I have a question no one can answer. I have a BeoGram 5000 and I need to know what type of grease is used for the damper on the lid that makes it rise slowly. Sounds easy right/ had a lot of good ideas/ but not the right stuff. Even service people that use to service tape decks cant remember the grease they used on tape deck doors ( same stuff I think ) Remember this grease is super sticky real STICKY NOT SLIPPERY.Hope you can help thanks..

Yes, you are right, it is a silicon grease, very sticky...

I think, B&O still sells it... it's listed in the service manuals. I bought it some years ago.

If it is the same as a Beomaster 1900 damping fluid, it is ROCOL Kilopoise 0868. Laughing
