    Beolink 7000 only works one way.....

    This new beolink 7000 wont work 2 way,  it always says no-contact from the beomaster 6500.  I spoke to an expert who says it cant be repaired....Anyone know different please ??

    You probably need to set it up to work with your equipment. Remove all items from the list and add your items one by one and try again.

    Instructions are in the user manual.

    Perhaps the Beomaster is in "option 2" it should be in "option 0" 

    with a beolink 1000 put all equipment in standby

    then aim at the beomaster and push sound and then 0

    that should fix it!

    (with a beo4 its a bit more complicated but it can be found on the web somewhere..)

    There are some surface mount capacitors inside that often go bad and stop the 2-way communication.  I don't have time right now, but when I get a chance I'll look for the thread which mentions which caps inside are responsible if you want to try that.

    Thanks Austin, i think i found that thread in the search, but maybe the skill involved in replacing caps is perhaps too specialized for me.!!
