    CDX sounds great.

I have a BM6000 (80's one) BC8004 and a pair of S80.2s which I have refoamed and have loved listening to it. I got hold of a CDX today and it has impressed me immensely. I have in the past had a CD5500 connected to the Beomaster but it was nothing compared to the CDX. It just sounds so warm and the bass seems so much nicer. I can see why lots of people say the CDX sounds quite "vinyly", its a lovely piece of kit and makes Dr Hook sound great!

Agree. I have a BM6000 and used it with a CDX for many years. I used a CD7000 when the CDX became unreliable and it did not sound very good at all for some reason - very cold and digital. I think the BM6000 and the CDX were just very well matched. I now use a BC9500 with the S120 speakers and am very pleased with the CD sound it produces, it too is quite warm and reminds me of the CDX.

I only had have my CDX for a month or so at present in great working condition.

It came with the BM8000 and both needed to be fixed so Dillen got it to look at.

Since the white BM6000 was newly fixed also Dillen I used it untill friday last week with the CDX as the BM8000 is now back to full working order.

The CDX sounds very good. Not cold or anything. Well balanched with a slight highend, clearness type of sound to it. I'm not tired of the sound for sure. I do prefer Master of Puppets by Metallica on vinyl though.

I did not think to much of it when I got it as the hinge had broken but Medogsfat fixed that one and Dillen the rest. It was well worth it and with a BM6000 or BM8000 you can't go wrong.
