    Is this normal?

    I have just bought a nice beogram 1001 with two beautiful sp14. I just tried it on a Beomaster 1000 and it sound terrific. Then I tried it on my Beomaster 6000 (newer type) and the sound was weak, very weak.

     

    Q: Is this normal, BG1001 is older with 5 pin din and the BM 6000 has 7pin datalink and is ment for BG 6006,8000,8002??

    Q2 Or shall I get suspicious of the Beomaster 6000 and asume somethings wrong?

    Beomaster 1000 has a wonderful sound but also a loudness function that you cannot disable.

    Try comparing with loudness switched ON on your BM6000.

    No it is much weaker than the loudness difference.

    If you still have both of the BM6000's that I had here for repair, try playing through the other one though I seriously doubt the problem to be in the BM6000 since they were fully tested here.

    Is the sound quality bad or is it "just" low in volume ?

    I will  try that. I am in my weekend house, and the other is at home.
