No. To remote control the DVD1 it has to be connected to a B&O TV and commands are routed through the TV.

The MCP will not control any TV's.

    Hi!

It is actually possible to use MCP 6500 to control the DVD1 if you have a two way TV or using the dvd through MCL link system which is two way.

If I remember correctly the tv is aux + 1, v8000 vhs is aux +2 and DVD is aux + 3 but I can be wrong with the numbers. Been a a while since I did this and I can't remember which functions that worked.

    regards

Not really a practical proposition in my opinion.

I agree with joeyboygolf, it is not a very practical solution, especially since the MCP afaik can't control the video routing in the beovision - it only controls the audio routing, meaning that you will be able to hear the DVD1 in your audio system but the tv's screen will not be turned on (unless you were already using it, that is).

Doesnt this depend on the tv in question? according to the mcp manual it is capable of controlling a video source.

Only through the audio master, MCP cannot control a video master or a video component directly

True. But if the master is set to correct mode and control is all that is asked for this should work.
