    MX4000 version

I have just replaced my MX3500 with a newer MX4000. I just noticed on the back that its type MX4000 IMP type 7870. What is the difference between all the types that I see on this site?

    MX4000, MX4000 NT, MX4000 IT, MX4000 MKII

    Re: MX4000 version

The MX4000 Type 7870 is European version except UK & Ireland which is 7872

The differenent type numbers for all B&O products normally reflect country or regional differences. For example the UK has different power plugs to most European countries, so that alone would require a different type number. Also in the case of Beovisions, in the UK we use PAL I, but in most of Europe, they use PAL B/G

Take for example, the Beo5, there is only ONE type number for all countries because it is exactly the same in every way, however the charger which is sold seperately has different type numbers to reflect the different power plugs and voltages.

On the other hand a product like the Beocom 6000 handset you would think would be like the Beo5 and only have one type number, but this is NOT the case because the Beocom 6000 comes with the different country languages.

Thanks Keith. i understand about the type numbers. Are there any differences between the MX4000, MX4000 NT, MX4000 IT and MX4000 MK2 however?
