    MX4000 Remote Control

    Hi,

I've just secured a nice MX4000 for a good price, but its got no remote.

From what I understand, a Beolink 1000 is the best choice for value (or a v / av terminal). Is there any particular version I should look out for to be able to fully control this set?

Also, on a side note, do the speakers in the MX4000 suffer from foam rot?

    Thanks!

    Re: MX4000 Remote Control

    Hi,

Beolink 1000 is ideal, i wouldn't recommend AV terminal.

Regarding which Beolink, i would use the one with the MENU and LIGHT button.

Depending on which MX4000 you have, a Beo4 might also be very suitable or even be more suitable,

as this would also give you more flexibility if you should use other B&O products as well.

    Which type-numer is your MX 4000 ? (4 digits)

    Re: MX4000 Remote Control

Its a type 3323 I believe, so I think its an early one.

My other equipment is a Beosystem 3000 and 5000, so both systems use their own remotes that aren't compatible with the beolink system.

I like the idea of a Beo4, but i'm afraid thats going to cost several times more than the TV!

If i'm correct, that's a PAL version with NICAM stereo.

Beolink 1000 would indeed be ideal.

Thats right! I'll keep my eye out for one with the Menu and Light buttons,

    Thanks.
