I have a Sony DVD recorder with hard disk and it can only be partially controlled .Some options such as TITLE LIST and TV GUIDE are not emulated and you have to use the original remote to select these features. Power on, cursor movement, numbers and selection are provided and the Beo4 can be used for these purposes. The only Sony DVD recorder with hard disk supported is the RDR HX-1010, an European model. But others use similar IR codes.

    Best regards,

    Jean
