Hi all:

My parents wish to buy a generic portable size (15/17") LCD TV for their bedroom. This is obviously no problem. However, they wish to mount it onto the underside of a shelf in their wardrobe so that when not in use they can rotate the unit so that the screen is facing towards the ceiling and have it as close to the underside of the shelf as possible.

It is difficult to explain without the aid of a diagram but the best analogy I can bring to bear is how simillar systems are mounted in some cars like the Chrysler Voyager - i.e. the screen is laid flat against the roof but you then flip it down when you want to use it.

Are there any such brackets on the market that would do this, and if so where could I get one?

There's a bracket here  at Amazon, but it looks as if it leaves the screen face down rather than face up and is meant for  mounting on the front edge of a shelf.

If the idea is to have the TV against the wall and to then to fold it forward and up to meet the shelf above it might be easier to mount the TV to a hinged drop down door that could be latched or bolted below the shelf when lifted horizontal.

Thanks, I found something simillar in Richer Sounds to what you are describing. The drop down flap might be an idea.
