    Where to put a Mini Mac.....

     

    i was struggling to place my mac....so i put it upside down and between the speaker and tv....seems to work !

    PS: i dont suppose anyone has a 3 bed apartment in New York next Feb they would like to lend me ?....lol..just a thought!

    In the older days, many hard drives didn't like being run upside down. That is rarely the case nowadays, but if you know the make & model of the drive inside the Mac, you might want to check the manufacturer's data sheet / installation manual for possible limitations just for the peace of mind.

    i was working at Plumbs when the CD50 came out....took us 10 mins to figure out we needed to read the instruction book !

    because the right way means you cannot get disks in as the chrome surround hides it.......

    Although given how small and light they are you could probably have been even more minimalist and superglued it to the back of the tv

    There shouldn't be a problem running the hdd upside down. The Mac Mini uses a laptop drive, so it should be fine. I don't know about the optical drive, though.
