    beosystem 6500 & beo4 & ipod

    Hi All,

I am very new to this world and would greatly appreciate your help.

Recently I purchased a beosystem 6500 complete set with record player, tape, cd and amp. It came with a master control remote which is not very convieniant, so i purchased a beo4 remote additionaly.

The beo4 did not come with a user manual got it from ebay.

I have connected my ipod to the aux of the beosystem amp.

The question I have is that there is no Aux button on the beo4 what can I do? is there any way to program the remote?

Also I do not see a phono button on the beo4 for the record player.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Omid

Hi & congratulations on your pruchases

To add soft buttons to the Beo4 you need to use this routine:

1/ press and hold the STANDBY button [] and then press [LIST] together with the STANDBY, now let go

2/ "ADD?" will appear in the little display window

3/ press [GO] to get the soft buttons you can add

4/ press [LIST] repeatedly to scroll through the list of buttons to add (or use [v] or Cake)

5/ eventually you will see "A.AUX"

6/ press [GO] to select "A.AUX"

7/ "ADDED" will appear in the little display window

now any time you need the AUX just keep pressing [LIST] until you see "A.AUX" and then press [GO] and you should have your iPod connected and then you can press play on the iPod or whatever :-)

    Good luck !

you are awsome thank you very much it worked!!

May I ask you another question please, if i purchase a generic docking station for my ipod touch which comes with its' own remote, would it be possible, also to program the beo4 to control the ipod doc functions which it's own remote controls?

Different infrared frequencies, but you can buy a modded docking station that understands B&O's infrared.

If your Beo4 doesn't have PHONO, then you can use N.RADIO (added as described above) to initiate record playback. (Hey, I knew I'd get to pass this tip along one more time!)
