    beomaster 300

    hi  i have a beomaster 3000 had it form new 1985 ,now not working,when i press any of the touch buttons on the control panel the relay on the circuit board energises then drops out straight away . any ideas .thanks

    Could be a shorted output. Have you tried with no speakers connected ?

    It could be one of several things then.
    Most likely the output stage which, in your Beomaster, is one large (and fairly cheap) chip.
    If this is indeed the case, the repair shouldn't be too costly.

    looks like you may well be dead right with this one.anybody know of a supplier for the chip.regards ken.

    I replaced one in a Beomaster 2000 recently (should be the same one).

    Just search on eBay for "stk463" (or whatever type yours is). I replaced mine with a Stk465 that I paid 6€ for.

    Can you replace it yourself ?

    If the chip in your Beomaster is a STK 463, I have one.
    Actually, the one I have is a STK 465 but that only means
    you will get 5 Watts more per channel. Yes -  thumbs up

    Edit: Oh yes, there are some available at Ebay. Make sure to get the correct physical outline.

    update  got myself the the stk power amplifier and with a bit soldering i now have a restored system. Thanks for members  assistance.
