can I plug my 30 gig ipod into my beomaster 5000

Hi beopeople out there ,I have the beomaster set up with the beogram 3000 and the s50 refoamed speakers and the system sounds great, Andy T I read your thread on repairing the s120 glad I had a good speaker repair company here in Auckland [Axcent audio] $150 just under 50 pounds as it seemed quite tricky. No one out there seems to rate the s50 but to my untrained ears they sound really good and all who have listened have agreed, prehaps they were just being kind mine also have the overload function does that make them a last of the line version.anyway back to the question is it possible to connect my ipod to the system ,thanks Andy P alias metalas

Yes - best done through a Dock and simply run a cable from the dock line output to one of the Tape inputs. If it is a reasonably modern iPod, you can use the Apple remote to control it.

If you want to control your iPod through your B&O remote, you need to chat to Ridax and get one of his kits. It works with the 5000.

The S50 is a perfectly good small speaker - it just is not as good as the S45-2 which it and the S55 replaced. The S55 is a bit better though I still prefer the S45-2.

thanks Peter I'll get a dock and try it out then look at the kit so i can control it with the MCP second hand B and O is not in abundance here in NZ there are a pair of s120  available but the man wants what I think is to much for them, he wanted $400 for a pair of s50 that I bought for $72 with the 7002 system plus a remote so I'll follow the advice you have given to others and bide my time  and wait for the right components as they come up . thanks  Andy P alias metalas
